Converting a hydro Seeding unit for ice control
Now your
Turbo
Turf Hydro Seeding System can be used year round. The
conversion is easy and inexpensive. "Most" Turbo Turf Hydro
Seeding Systems will work fine just the way they are.
All you need to do is add one of the booms we have available.
You will probably also like the electric control valve. It
will keep you from having to get out of your truck and change a
valve every time you need to start or stop your spray. A
special nozzle is available that will allow you to use your hydro
seeding gun to spray deicing chemicals to do steps, walks and
other areas where you can not drive.

Suitable Turbo Turf Hydro Seeding units
Turbo Turf units
that can be used for Ice Control are all units 150 gallons and
above except those 150 gallon units that are equipped with the 4
H.P. Honda engine. You may also use the 50 gallon units
manufactured in 2002 or later with the Banjo pump.

Picking a boom

There are several
booms that will work with your Turbo Turf Hydro Seeding System to
convert it into an Ice control sprayer. Our standard
one lane boom that slides into a 2" x 2" truck receiver is one of
the most common. This boom is available with straight spray
or fan spray patterns. The standard one lane boom is $
395.00
Electric Valves

It is very
convenient to also have the electric valve option. This is
an electric valve, a cable, and a toggle switch that allows you to
turn the spray bar on and off from the cab of your truck. If
most of your spraying will be continuous you can turn the boom off
using the standard valve on the hydro seeding unit, but this will
mean that you have to stop and go back to the unit every time you
start and stop. The valve, cable and control box with switch
is $ 385.00
